Terms and Conditions

Please ensure the booking terms and conditions are read and fully understood.

 

This is a legally binding contract between the owner of Hot Dog Haven Holidays and the holiday guest.

The holiday guest must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for ensuring all members of the holiday party accept and adhere to these terms and conditions. The holiday guest is also referred to as ‘you’

The contract comes in to existence when payment is received and a booking confirmation is issued to the holiday guest.

 

Number of Guests

The maximum number of people entitled to stay at this property is 8. If it is found that more people than agreed are using the property, this will be considered a breach of contract and the holiday guest and their party will be asked to leave immediately without any refund. Sub-letting or assignation of the let is prohibited.

Dogs

Dogs must be house trained and the number must not change from what was agreed at the time of booking, otherwise a breach of contract will be deemed to have taken place.  

Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the property. Pets are allowed on the furniture (please use the throws provided). Dogs are not allowed on the beds, unless the guests bring their own bedding (fitted sheet, duvet cover & pillowcases). The holiday guest shall be liable for all damage caused by their pet or any pet belonging to the holiday guests party.  A charge will be made for any additional cleaning required.  The booking agent cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury to a pet during their stay.  Holiday guests are required to respect the property, veranda and park and pick up any dog litter immediately. Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times around the park. 

Parking at Hot Dog Haven Hideaway:

There is allocated parking directly opposite the caravan. 

Please do not park on the grass beside the caravan, only the allocated parking in front. 

The small road outside of the property operates a one-way system which must be adhered to at all times. 

Parking at Hot Dog Haven Retreat: 

There is two allocated parking spaces at the caravan. 

 

Arrival and Departure Time

Every effort will be made to have the property available from 4pm on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Late departure will result in an additional charge being made. Information about keys and how to collect them will be provided on the day of arrival.

Cleaning

The holiday guest and their party are expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition, strip the beds which have been used, and empty the bins on their departure. The owner retains the right to make an additional charge for cleaning should the property not be left in a similar condition to the way it was found at the start of the holiday.

Electric Car Charging

Under no circumstances can holiday guests charge their or any of their party’s cars from the property. The holiday guests will be asked to leave and the owner retains the right to make an additional charge.

Car charging points can be found in the main car park and near the lake. 

Smoking & Vaping

Smoking & vaping are not allowed in the property or on the veranda.

Lost Keys 

Lost keys should be reported immediately, there will be a £20 charge to replace lost keys.

 

Music & Loud Noise

We ask that there is no loud noise or music played between the hours of 11pm and 8am.  Holiday guests are expected to respect the park and other guests and failure to do this will result in the holiday guest and their party being asked to leave.

 

Liability

The booking agent takes no responsibility for the personal possessions of the holiday guest or their party. Vehicles and possessions are left entirely at the risk of the holiday guest.

 

Children must be supervised at all times.

 

No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet connection or television service.

 

Breakages

The holiday guest should make every effort to keep the property, fixtures and fittings and all contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of the holiday. Any accidental damages or breakages should be reported to the owner prior to departure. The owner retains the right to make an additional charge for damage and breakages.

Miscellaneous

Whilst every care is taken to provide a true and accurate description of the property, the park and the area, over time, alterations and changes are made. The holiday guest accepts that no refunds are available for such discrepancies.

 

The owner reserves the right to enter the property, at a reasonable time, in the event of an emergency or remedial repair work being required.

 

The owner is entitled and reserves the right to ask the holiday guest to leave the property without any refund if, in the owners opinion, the behaviour of the holiday guest and/or their party is unacceptable or unreasonable.

 

The booking agent reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, who in the owners  opinion is not suitable to or capable of taking charge of the property.

Complaints

It is the responsibility of the holiday guest to make issues on arrival or problems during the stay known to the owner as soon as it becomes apparent, thereby giving the booking agent the opportunity to correct the situation. Unless this procedure is followed, no subsequent claim will be entertained.

 

The owner will make every endeavour to rectify any identified problems as soon as is reasonably possible.

Bookings

A £100 booking deposit is required within 24 hours of the provisional booking being taken to secure the requested dates.  This also acts as your breakage deposit (see Return of breakage deposit). The booking is taken on a provisional basis until the deposit has been paid and received in full, at which point the booking becomes confirmed.  Until the booking is confirmed, it can be cancelled at any time without prior notice.

 

The balance of the booking is due no later than 8 weeks before arrival.  Failure to pay the deposit or balance in full by the due dates will result in the booking being cancelled. If the balance is not paid by the due date the booking will be cancelled and the deposit retained.  

 

Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

 

Cancellation by the Holiday Guest Cancellation of the booking by the holiday guest should be emailed to:

Please see the cancellation terms below based on the number of weeks before arrival date.  

 

If cancellation is more than 8 weeks before arrival you will receive a full refund.

If cancellation is less than 8 weeks but more than one week before arrival, then £100 will be retained.

If cancellation is one week or less before arrival the full balance will be retained.

 

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover any cancellations.

 

Booking amendments can be requested, subject to availability and are not guaranteed.  Amendments will not be considered if the arrival date is less than two weeks away. An amendment fee may be charged.

 

Cancellation by the Property Owner

In the unlikely event that the property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances and the booking has to be cancelled, the holiday guest will be entitled to a full refund.  The owner shall only be liable to return the payment received and no compensation or consequential losses shall be paid.  

 

Return of Breakage Deposit 

Your £100 booking / breakage deposit will be returned within 48 hours of departure, unless there is to be any deductions (see Cleaning & Breakages). In this instance your booking / breakage deposit, minus any deductions will be returned to you within 2 weeks of departure.
